Jennifer Jacobsen
Director, Domestic Public Policy, AOL Time Warner
Jennifer Jacobsen is the Director of Domestic Public Policy at AOL Time Warner, where she helps to guide the company's Congressional, regulatory and industry relations efforts. She joined the company in September, 1998, and works in the companyıs Washington, D.C. office.
At AOL Time Warner, Jennifer has participated in industry-wide efforts on a wide variety of emerging public policy issues affecting the Internet, electronic commerce, and the media including Privacy, Security, Digital Authentication, Junk Email, Consumer Protection, Encryption, and Child Safety. She represents AOL Time Warner in a number of different organizations and associations, including the Online Privacy Alliance, the Internet Alliance, BBBOnline, the Internet Education Foundation, and the U.S. Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee.
Prior to joining AOL Time Warner, Jennifer was a public policy associate at the law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, where she represented corporate and public clients on a wide range of legislative issues. She also worked as a Congressional aide to U.S. Representative Frank Wolf and as a production assistant for CBS News in New York. She earned her B.A. cum laude in History from Yale University and her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
